Mosaic Private Equity led the development funding with Ailsa3 co-investing alongside them, to rapidly expand the business to meet the demand for domestic and commercial Energy Performance Certificates. EPCs became mandatory in the commercial, residential letting and social housing fields in October 2008.

The company started trading under the name Christopher Rodgers (Home and Energy) Ltd in August 2007 to meet the demand for energy certificates as part of the Home Information Packs system. Credible Energy has become a leading player in this sector having developed sophisticated IT systems to manage the capture of data from sites around the country for central processing and certificate production. Based in West Lancashire, the company employs 70 people.
