Ailsa3 acquired Tyre Collection Services (TCS) in February 2006 to bring added coverage and services to the Credential Environmental group of businesses.

TCS has been in the waste tyre collection business for over 16 years and processed more than four million waste tyres in 2005. With a 2005 turnover of £1.5m and a fleet of 14 collection vehicles, it is a highly complimentary business to the Automotive division of Credential, and will be incorporated to ensure the group’s increasing efficiency with consistent service to existing customers.

The operation is managed from TCS head office in Wednesbury, West Midlands where the company provides a rapid response service for the collection of used car, van, truck and agricultural casings.

TCS offers a nationwide service and the acquisition makes Credential Automotive the only national collector to provide regular scheduled collections with its dedicated fleet of vehicles.
